When I first heard about shirakawago in 2015 from then had dream to visit this place someday. Finally my dream come true and today I visited the most picture perfect and iconic village of Japan. I feel an unexplainable joy and time goes very fast to enjoy the beauty. The beautiful and unique gassho-zukuri village on a pre-autumn rainy morning. The traditional house, the rice fields, cosmos flowers, the green mountains and the alleys of pines what else we need to see. The whole atmosphere is so beautiful.

One of the most scenic and my most favourite tourist destinationis Oshina hakkai. The crystal clear water, colorful koi fish, traditional houses and snow caped mount fuji everything is present there. A perfect destination for mount fuji lovers like me. I visited this place in last autumn and wish to visit here once again.

She was enjoying the beauty of Nachifalls and the pagoda at the same time. She was really very very excited to see the waterfall. Also it was a spring time and as a result lots of flowers bloomed in the surrounding area. The whole combination that means sakura, pagoda and nachifalls makes her so happy that she cannot control her expressions. It was really full of joy.

Spring is a very special season for us here in Japan. This year my wife first time decided to celebrate the sakura season in a very traditional way of this beautiful country. We enjoyed the day a lot. She had a special love for that umbrella too. Its a really really a very memorable day for both of us. May be whole life we can't forget that day.

ID:1Really beautiful place. I went there last year and it was amazing. There’s the Nagatoro Funatama Festival that takes place over the river in the summer, I didn’t get the chance to see it, sadly. Thinking about going back next year. Did you ride on one of the boats?

For me traveling means connecting with people and enjoying new places... It doesn’t need to be a very famous destination but if the place has stories to tell then I’m eager to listen to it and feel the moment. This picture is from Chichibu’s yokoze rice field... Just like my motherland, Japan is also a land of Rice. In front of Mt. Bukō, this small and quiet village is surely a place where I can visit once again...
