Today, September 16, 2022, we celebrate the second anniversary of COOL JAPAN VIDEOS, a social, video curation website featuring videos that highlight the charms of Japan. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the many people, both in Japan and abroad, who have helped make this possible by enjoying our website. In 2020, the Japan's tourism industry was hit hard by the spread of the novel coronavirus. COOL JAPAN VIDEOS was released to help boost tourism to Japan in the midst of the raging coronavirus pandemic. Two years have passed since the start of the pandemic, and we have finally begun to hear some good news, such as the easing of restrictions on foreign travelers entering Japan, which is a promising sign. Although it will take some more time for things to return to the way they were before the coronavirus pandemic, we hope that you will continue to learn about the charms of Japan online through COOL JAPAN VIDEOS. We are pleased to announce the addition of a new feature to COOL JAPAN VIDEOS. The new feature added today is as follows: ◆In addition to the existing SNS registration methods, it is now possible to register as a member using an e-mail address. The register by email address option has been added to the account registration pop-up that opens when the icon in the upper right corner of the header is pressed. With this new feature, you can register as a member with your e-mail address and password. ※When registering with an e-mail address, please make sure to use an e-mail address that can receive verification codes from @cooljapan-videos.com, as we will send the verification code to the e-mail address you entered. You can also link your email address to the account you logged in with if you signed up via a social networking service. You will be able to log in with your email address in addition to the SNS login that you currently use for your current account. To use this service, after logging in to your account, go to Settings > Sign in and click register under email address to connect your email address. ※With the addition of this new feature, the "SNS" tab in "Settings," available after logging in, has been renamed to "Login."
